How to index private videos with Video SEO

Currently, our Video SEO plugin doesn’t work with private videos if they are set to private before the video is indexed by the plugin. Unfortunately, the plugin cannot read the data from a private video. We’re working on a solution for this. In the meantime, we have a work-around for you, which we’ll discuss in this article.

Change the privacy settings of the video(s) in the video hosting platform to ‘public’.
Reindex the videos in the plugin using ‘Force reindex of already indexed videos’.
Check the box for ‘Force reindex of already indexed videos’. Then click ‘Re-Index Video’s.
Change the privacy settings of the video(s) in the video hosting platform to ‘private’ again.
